The L.E. Caldwell Company is owned by Todd Caldwell, a licensed Maine forester whose family has been making a living in the western Maine hills for quite a while.  His business has combined forest biometrics, technology, decision analysis and walking through the woods looking at a lot of timberland and trees. Projects have included fiber supply agreements for million-acre properties, strategic harvest scheduling for some of the largest timberland ownerships in the United States, growth and yield models for discriminating land managers, and large-scale timber inventory projects and database application development. He enjoys working with people across different forest goal sets.

As the developer of the TallTimber and Timberpad  timber cruise to processing software, Todd Caldwell has integrated locally calibrated inventory processing with FVS growth modeling, putting a powerful tool within reach of field foresters, land managers and ecologically minded land owners.
